FOAL Members and Other Lake Homeowners,
It has been brought to the FOAL Board’s attention that some home owners are renting out their property on Armour Lake and providing no instructions for the renters to make them aware of the Presque Isle ordnances that are currently in effect. These ordnances deal with permits, motor boats, personal watercraft, snowmobiles and slow/no wake areas.
Most of this information is covered in the Friends of Amour Lake and Presque Isle Websites. They include the following:
1. The property owner needs to apply for a permit which can be found on the homepage of the Presque Isle Website on the left side under short term rentals. You must apply for a permit that deals with both well and septic questions and submit it to the PI Treasurer. You can filled out the application on line but the PI Treasurer will have to provide you a permit number. There is also a PI tax based on a formula which must be paid quarterly.
